 Why Preplan?
Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that planning their own service offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families. With preplanning, families find comfort in knowing that the funeral reflects what their loved one wanted. It also gives them peace of mind by not having to make important decisions at a stressful time.
When considering prearranging, you should contact funeral homes in your community. They can walk you through the prearrangement process. The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) recommends prearranging for everyone and developed the Bill of Rights for Funeral Preplanning as a resource for understanding what to expect from a preneed contract.
Once you’ve made your prearrangements, keep a copy of your plan and any pertinent paperwork in a safe place. Also, inform a close friend or relative what arrangements you have made and where the information may be found.
If you choose, there are several ways to prepay for your funeral that can offer you financial benefits. However, prepaying is not required, but an option that many individuals find helpful.
If you feel prepaying is wise for you, then be sure to go over all available options with the Funeral Home Staff. Remember, like with any contract, ask any and all questions you may have regarding your preneed plan before you sign an agreement.

The process for pre-planning is simple.
We can meet at one of our two locations or in your home, whichever is more convenient.
We start by presenting you with a copy of our Itemized Price List, as required by the Federal Trade Commision. This price list will be used later to prepare a cost estimate, after determining what type of services you will want.
The next step is the collection of Vital Statistics (information that is needed when death occurs).
Based on the information you provide us we can now discuss services and how you want to be rememebered.
It is from all of this information that we now use the Price List and provide you with a complete Cost Estimate of not only the Funeral Home expenses but also things like the cemetery charges, flowers and any other expenses that can be forseen.
Based on your current circumstances we can now tell you want funding options are available and the benefits of each.

What are the benefits?
Pre-planning and funding gives you the peace of mind in knowing that your wishes are recorded and the funds have been set aside.
  • This makes many decisions easier for your survivors.
  • It can cost quarantee the funeral home costs.
  • These plans are transferable so if you do move they can follow you.
  • They are fully recognized and accepted, in the event Title 19 assistance is ever required.
  • There is absolutely no cost for us to meet, nor is there an obligation to use our funeral home, even after funding.

Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step and plan their own arrangements.
